My stories of studying English in secondary school

Good evening☆Today's contribution is my homework.

【1】Your most enjoyable language learning experience at school and an explanation of why
I think it was a class which sang and listen foreign country's songs.
Because many foreign songs imply the country's sight.Honestly,I am weak in singing. But foreign songs stirred up my interest.

【2】Your least enjoyable language learning activity at school and an explanation of why
I think it was a high school's class.
Because it was a class to prepare for entrance examination for university. It wasn't voluntary study,I think.

【3】Your most valuable language learning activity at school and an explanation of why
I think it was every class with ALT in junior high school.
Because it was a golden opportunity to listen to real English.I didn't speak English fluently,so I yearned for ALT and teacher.

【4】Your least valuable language learning activity at school and an explanation of why
The same as answer to 【2】,I think.
Surely, it is important to study English 4 skills. But I think it doesn't be forced by anyone.

【5】Overall, how would you rate your experience as an English learner?
About 70%.The reason for this rate is next.
I descrived negative about 【2】 and 【4】.But it was also the fact that I learned some skills.

【6】The influence you think your language learning experience will have on your teaching
Through my experience,I think studying is voluntary and not forced. And That is common thinking to every subject.
So I try to make classes bring out the voluntary and positive attitude in students.

Hi,this is rosen.
First, you write you are a bigginer but I think your report is wonderful!

I experienced some foreign songs in classes in my junior high school. So,I also think that is very interesting and student can have interest for other countries easier.
I think interest is very important in studying in any subjects so,that is one of the point in teaching English.
You are a lucky one that could get interested in English!
Thank you.

Jasmine,
Your wrote
"But it was also the fast that I learned some skills."
Can you tell me what you mean by the above sentence?
It is interesting that a lot of people has said that high school English was not valuable. Are there any positive aspects about high school English?

I'm sorry,I was mistaken about that sentence.
I wanted to write "But it was also the fact that I learned some skills."
Thank you for pointing out my mistake.

About your last question,I think ...
Yes,there are positive aspects about high school English.
One of those,I learned how to read some English stories efficiently.
So I was interested in the foreign story. For example,HarryPotter.
...But I had no time to read it.

Hi, Jasmine!
Your ideas are interesting. I was engoyed some english songs too, but I could not unsdrstand these when I was in junior high school. I think it is good for practice of listing and learing other cultures.
I learned it is fun way to learn english. However,I do not have good ideas how we use a english song in junior high school. Do you know good songs?

See you next class☆
